Homemade Vegan Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons coconut oil or vegan butter*
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar or maple sugar
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed coconut milk**
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract gluten free
  • 2 pinches sea salt

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat. Whisk while gently boiling for exactly one minute.

  2. Carefully remove from stove and let cool before placing in a sealed glass container or a BPA free squirt bottle.

  3. Store countertop for several weeks.

*Option to substitute grass-fed butter for a non-vegan version.
